Canadian
Jo Steel (ICE WAR/ APHRODITE/ EXPUNGED)
and Spaniard Dave Rotten (AVULSED/
HOLYCIDE/ CHRIST DENIED/ FAMISHGOD) have joined
forces in a new band called WEAPONRY whose
intention is to create the dirtiest, most intense
and relentless Death/ Crust on both sides of the
atlantic ocean!!
WEAPONRY was born
in early 2021 when Jo Steel wrote a bunch
of songs for a new project still unnamed and without
a vocalist for it until one day, in spring of
the same year, he decided to show Dave Rotten
what he recorded and since a friend of Jo which
was supposed to do vocals, never replied, Dave
was asked to join and so this project became a
more serious thing under the name of WEAPONRY
with a cool logo and a concept behind.
During summer, the 10
songs were properly mixed and vocals were recorded
with the use of lyrics provided by Rogga Johansson
(PAGANIZER/ MASSACRE/ PUTREVORE) and then sent
to Germany for a proper STEM mastering by Dan
Swanö at Unisound Studios. Cover artwork
was done by Spanish artist José Vives,
which perfectly depicts the post-apocalyptic theme
of the band. "Everwinding Slaughter"
contains 10 songs of a dirty, intense and savage
Death/ Crust full of catchy riffs and relentless
tempo. Influences may come from bands like COMECON,
DOOM, NIHILIST, DISCHARGE, AUTOPSY, EXTREME NOISE
TERROR, MASTER, UNCURBED… The album will be released
on 11th of January 2022 on CD, 12"LP &
Cassette by Xtreem Music.

han unido fuerzas en una nueva banda llamada WEAPONRY
cuya intención es la de crear el más
sucio, intenso e implacable Death/ Crust a ambos
lados del océano atlántico!!
WEAPONRY nació
a principios de 2021 cuando Jo Steel escribió
un puñado de canciones para un nuevo proyecto
aún sin nombre y sin vocalista hasta que
un día, en la primavera del mismo año,
decidió mostrarle a Dave Rotten
lo que grabó, y dado que un amigo de Jo,
que se suponía que debía hacer las
voces, nunca respondió, este le pidió
a Dave que se uniera y así este proyecto
se convirtió en algo más serio bajo
el nombre de WEAPONRY con un logo genial
y un concepto detrás.
Durante el verano, las
10 canciones se mezclaron adecuadamente y las
voces se grabaron con el uso de letras proporcionadas
por Rogga Johansson (PAGANIZER/ MASSACRE/
PUTREVORE) y luego se enviaron a Alemania para
una masterización STEM a cargo de Dan
Swanö en los Unisound Studios. La portada
fue realizada por el artista español José
Vives, que representa a la perfección
la temática postapocalíptica de
la banda. "Everwinding Slaughter"
contiene 10 canciones de un Death/ Crust sucio,
intenso y salvaje lleno de riffs pegadizos y tempo
implacable. Las influencias pueden provenir de
bandas como COMECON, DOOM, NIHILIST, DISCHARGE,
AUTOPSY, EXTREME NOISE TERROR, MASTER, UNCURBED…
El álbum saldrá a la venta el 11
de Enero de 2022 en CD, 12 "LP & Cassette
de Xtreem Music.
