Lune, UAE’s FinTech startup, raises $850k in a pre-seed funding round

Lune, a UAE-based data startup, raised $850k in a pre-seed round backed by Dubai Future District Fund (DFDF), Flat6Labs, and several angel investors.

The company already operates across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain and will leverage the cash infusion to scale across the entire GCC by the end of the year.

Lune was co-founded by Helal Tariq Lootah, an Emirati entrepreneur, and Alexandre Soued in 2022 and democratizes financial data and enables institutions to empower the communities they serve. The technology is localized to the MENA region and currently works with various clients in the UAE, KSA, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar.

The startup raised AED 250K earlier this year from Sandooq Al Watan, a community initiative launched by Emirati businessmen to support the creation of a better future for forthcoming generations.
