Behavior Analyst Job Description

Coordination and oversight of technical assistance to patients with complex behavioral, psychiatric, cognitive, developmental, or physical and health-related needs. Consultation, review, and approval of the observations and assessments regarding the design of positive interventions and supports for patients, and coordinates training for staff concerning positive and effective approaches to preventing/addressing challenging behaviors. Responsible for reviewing patients with high risk for serious injury to self or others. He/she coordinates, evaluates, and approves functional behavioral assessments and behavior support plans. The Behavior Analyst evaluates the implementation of behavior support plans through personal observation and review of documentation. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, departmental and agency policy and for overseeing the development and implementation of systems and procedures to meet the standards and requirements therein. Work schedule may vary upon request or as needed.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:

Must be Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
